At Community Gateway we believe everybody deserves a great place to live, so we continually invest in improving homes and community areas.
A couple of years ago, we introduced a new approach to how we repair and maintain properties, known as HomeCare. We developed this jointly with our customers, so it prioritises the things that matter most to you. Through HomeCare surveys, we thoroughly review your property every five years with you to ensure it is still in good condition. We then prioritise any work required and aim to carry this out in the fewest number of visits to cause minimal inconvenience to you and your household.
Last year, we carried out a significant part of our HomeCare programme in the city centre and Moor Nook areas. This involved making improvements inside people’s homes, plus painting and flooring in communal areas of blocks of flats as well as improvements to surrounding greenspaces, paving and brickwork. Residents say it’s given these areas a real face-lift.
