To apply for a CGA property in Preston, South Ribble or Chorley you will need to register with Select Move. Select Move is a partnership of Housing Associations covering Preston, South Ribble and Chorley. Applying though Select Move means you will be able to look at available properties from 13 Housing Associations, including Community Gateway. Once you've decided on an area, simply fill in one form and bid on as many homes as you like.
There is a Common Allocations Policy and Housing register which you will need to apply to. Visit www.selectmove.co.uk where you can complete an application and view available properties.
My Home Choice
To apply for a CGA property in Blackpool you will need to register with My Home Choice. My Home Choice is a partnership of Housing Associations covering Blackpool, Wyre and the Fylde, giving you a wide choice of homes across the area by filling in one application form.

Property inspection video
We’re changing the way we inspect Gateway properties when you’re moving from one CGA property to another through Select Move.
You’ll now be asked to record a short video showing us all around the property, which our Select Move Team will then review before a decision is made.
You’ll be sent an example video to watch before recording your own, with instructions and a checklist of things to include. This video will also tell you the WhatsApp number your video should be sent to for checking. If you aren't able to record a video, please speak to the team about an in-person inspection.
Your video will be reviewed within 28 days, and the Select Move Team will be in touch with any necessary feedback and to confirm their decision about your move. If your video shows that your home is in an unsatisfactory condition, has been damaged or alternations have been made without permission you may not be allowed to re-apply to Select Move until the issues have been sorted out. You have the right to appeal a decision you disagree with.
Please be assured that once your video has been verified, it will be deleted.
