Grounds Maintenance Work Reduced Temporarily

Due to the current situation with Coronavirus and government restrictions, some of our GreenCare services have been affected.

To protect the safety of our colleagues and customers, we have temporarily had to put a halt to all grounds maintenance work, including grass cutting and cleaning of blocks. This is due to not being able to safely adhere to the national social distancing measures when our teams travel around the areas that require maintaining. We are monitoring the situation and looking at our current systems of work, exploring what other options may be available to us. As soon as we are safely able, we will resume grounds maintenance work to ensure that our greenspaces are soon back to their best again.

During this period, you may however, continue to see our staff working outside on external repairs. Although they are unable to carry out normal cleaning duties, they are continuing to carry out visual inspections of blocks, regularly checking fire safety systems are operational and that there are no health and safety hazards, either in the blocks or the surrounding estates,

Please be assured that the teams are following strict social distancing advice and we ask that you support this and avoid approaching them while they continue to work outside homes and in communal areas.

We understand this is a very difficult time for everyone and we are working hard to maintain services in line with Government guidelines. We would like to thank you for your understanding and we will continue to keep you updated with any new information and changes.
