At Community Gateway we strive to support individuals and communities, but we can’t do this without our tenants and residents who give their time to help others and their communities.

We want to recognise all the people within our communities who have gone that extra mile. If you know someone who deserves recognition for what they have done over the last twelve months, then we want to hear from you.

Take a look at our award categories below and let us know your Community Hero in your chosen area.

Award Categories 2022

• Young Hero: This category is for anyone under the age of 21 who has made a significant contribution within their community. We are looking for a young person who is an inspiration to others and whose achievements set them apart from the rest. This young person may have been a volunteer in their local community, a future sporting star or achieved academic excellence.
• Unsung Hero: This category is for that person who just loves helping others and does not receive the recognition they deserve. They make valuable contributions in their community and it is time to shine a spotlight on them to show them that we value everything they do.
• Volunteer of the Year: This category is for anyone who has volunteered in an unpaid role and made a significant contribution of their own time for the benefit of CGA services or communities. This could be an individual or someone who is a recognised volunteer for a local organisation.
• CGA Tenant of the Year: This category is for CGA tenants that go the extra mile, either supporting CGA or their local area. It could be one of our ‘Involved Tenants’ who makes a significant contribution to improving our services, or someone who is a fantastic neighbour and a vital member of their community.
• Local Organisation of the Year: This category is for any local organisation that has achieved amazing things over the last 12 months. This could be a charity, community group or local business who have had a positive impact on our tenants or local community areas. This organisation may have delivered an amazing project in your local area.
