Community Hero Award Winners 2021
Over the last year, we have seen true community spirit blossom across the city and beyond. As such, we wanted to recognise all those who have gone that extra mile to support others. We asked for nominations for your Community Heroes; those people who deserved recognition for what they have done, either during the pandemic or in general over the last year.
The winners were announced at a special ceremony, ahead of this year’s Annual General Meeting. Thank you to everyone who nominated their Community Heroes and well done to all our winners and those who were highly commended who each received a voucher, trophy and certificate.
The Local Organisation of the Year was The JJ Effect and they received £200 to use towards an activity or volunteer celebration. Disability Equality Northwest were highly commended in this category and also received funds to invest in their group.
You can find out more about our wonderful Community Heroes by watching the recording of our AGM here.
Congratulations to all our highly commended nominees.
