CGA awarded top rating by Social Housing Regulator

In its latest regulatory judgement, the Regulator for Social Housing has awarded Community Gateway Association the highest possible rating for its financial viability and for the way in which the organisation is run.

CGA received a ‘G1’ rating for governance and a ‘V1’ rating for viability.

The fantastic news came following an In-Depth Assessment (IDA) undertaken by the Regulator which involved intensive scrutiny of documentary evidence, observation of a Board meeting, and interviews with the Executive Leadership team and members of the CGA Board.

It is now the second time running that we have received the top rating following an IDA, clearly demonstrating that the organisation is well-led, meets the Regulator’s stringent governance standards and has the financial resilience to deal with a wide range of economic scenarios.

Chief Executive Rob Wakefield said:

“I’m delighted with the outcome of our IDA, and recognise the hard work and dedication from colleagues across the business to achieve it.  We have ambitious plans to continue the great work we do in our communities and this grading underpins our plans for the future.”

Chair of the Board, David Yates, added:

“This a huge achievement and the result of a lot of hard work by everyone at Community Gateway. Congratulations to all involved on this fantastic success.”
