Preston Vocational Centre are looking for new Trustees

Our charitable subsidiary, Preston Vocational Centres offers help and support to some of the most vulnerable young people in Preston, providing quality vocational training in construction skills as well as support with personal development as well as helping learners to take the next steps towards further education, training and employment. 

PVC is looking for new Trustees to join their Board – people who care passionately about empowering young people to achieve their potential in an inclusive and respectful environment. The Board make important strategic and financial decisions, monitor performance and develop plans to help effect positive change. They make sure PVC is well run and financially resilient.

This is your chance to really make a difference to young people’s lives. PVCV are particularly looking for people with knowledge, skills and experience in the construction industry. They would also like to encourage applications from females, younger people (aged 18-30) and black and minority ethnic groups who are currently under-represented on the Board.

The roles will be voluntary and unpaid and although reasonable expenses are met, including travel.  Board members are expected to attend and participate at six Board meetings per year and special events, where possible, as well as acting in an ambassadorial role for PVC.
