National Allotments Week, 7th-13th August

This week is National Allotments Week, a week of engaging people with allotments and promoting the benefits of allotment gardening for communities and indviduals.

We recently celebrated all things grow-your-own at our Moor Nook allotments, welcoming 23 families with 42 children to an Open Day, building bug hotels, planting seed heads, getting stuck in with a live wormery, having their faces painted, learning all about herbs and more.

We currently have a few plots available to rent on our Moor Nook allotments. The annual cost for current CGA tenants is £25. We’re expecting these plots to get snapped up quickly, so if you’re interested, contact sharon.grimshaw@communitygateway.co.uk
