Ribbleton Pride in Place is a long-term government project which aims to improve local streets, parks, and community spaces, with the aim to make Ribbleton a better place to live. With £20 million in funding allocated for the area, improvements will be driven by local need. Funding will be used to support things that:

• Improve public spaces – fixing pavements, lighting, seating, play areas, green spaces.
• Make the area feel safer and cleaner – tackling fly‑tipping, graffiti, poor lighting, unsafe spots.
• Support community activities – events, youth projects, clubs and spaces where people can meet.
• Give residents a voice – meetings, surveys, workshops and support for local groups to get involved.
• Create long‑term benefits – projects that will still help the community in 5–10 years, not just quick fixes.
