Celebrating 20 Years: Cleaning up Grange Avenue

This year we are celebrating Community Gateway’s 20th birthday by giving back to our communities through 20 projects.

In our latest project, we partnered with Preston City Council (PCC) and Red Rose Recovery to tackle litter and fly-tipping in North Ribbleton.

Working closely with local tenants and residents, we identified hotspots for litter and fly-tipping along Grange Avenue, including two small areas of overgrown green space and communal gardens.

In an Action Day organised by PCC, our teams came together in a community litter pick where we:

  • Removed a skip full of fly tip
  • Cut back overgrowth in certain areas
  • Removed 15 bags of litter
  • PCC installed signage to deter fly-tipping

This project is a great example of the ways we are working with partners and tenants to create cleaner, greener and safer communities where tenants are proud to live.

If you would like to get involved in any of our community improvement projects and help make your community an even better place to live, please complete the form below and we will be in touch.
