Our Plan for Ingol

Our community plans show how we will work with you to improve the places you live. Each plan is shaped by what matters most to you and reflects the priorities of your neighbourhood.

These plans are based on feedback from Shape Your Space events, pop-ups, surveys, day-to-day conversations, as well as what we see when we are out and about in your area.

A bit about Ingol

Ingol is home to the popular Ingol Dip, a large green space with a recently improved play area for families to enjoy. The area also includes the INTACT Centre and Dobcroft Nature Reserve, both well used by the local community. We manage approximately 972 homes in Ingol.

Our community information sheets provide useful details about the area, including schools, GP surgeries, community venues and more. View the Ingol information sheet.

What makes Ingol a great place to live?

Extra Care Scheme

"The Courtyards is safe and secure, with carers on site 24/7. The staff are friendly, helpful and always approachable. There’s also a wide range of activities on offer, including bingo, cinema sessions, coffee mornings and crafts. Claire’s Kitchen café is fantastic addition to The Courtyards and really brings the community together."

Quiet and Clean

"The neighbourhood is quiet and clean, with respectful neighbours and good green spaces. The local park is well maintained".

Local Support

"There are plenty of activities and support in the area for disadvantaged families. Intact Centre offers food support and social events like bingo, as well as St Margaret’s Church.

Community

"There are lots of opportunities to attend local events and groups. The Tanterton Centre and Ingol Library hold a range of activities".

What we have delivered in Ingol so far

Upcoming projects to improve your community

Dog Fouling Action Day

We are currently working on installing a second dog foul bin along Barry Avenue and run an action day alongside this, with community partners.

The Courtyards Greenspaces

We will work with tenants at The Courtyards to improve the Greenspaces.

External Improvements

You told us you would like to see the external walls cleaned and improved on Barry Avenue.

Tackling Anti Social Behaviour

At the Shape You Space event, you told us that drug dealing is a problem around the Ingol shops. The garages located on Ventnor Place that have been attracting ASB are planned to be demolished.

We will continue to work with tenants, community partners, the Neighbourhood Policing Team and teams across CGA to reduce the ASB.

If you would like to get involved in any of these community improvement projects and help make your community an even better place to live, please complete the form below and we will be in touch.
