Local Youth Club Influences Farringdon Park Tree Planting
Last year, our GreenCare Team had a surplus supply of sapling trees that were perfect for brightening up our local communities. Seeing an opportunity to work with younger tenants and residents to create greener spaces, our Engagement Team contacted Farringdon Park Youth Club.
The youth club were keen to work with local children to identify locations on Farringdon Estate for the trees to be planted, and once locations were determined, our GreenCare Team planted the saplings.
The help raise awareness of looking after community spaces, the group of children designed posters to put up around the area, hoping to prevent damage and vandalism.
The project was a great way to empower young people to have a voice in their community and see the impact of how their involvement can encourage local improvements.
