Our Plan for Deepdale

Our community plans show how we will work with you to improve the places you live. Each plan is shaped by what matters most to you and reflects the priorities of your neighbourhood.

These plans are based on feedback from Shape Your Space events, pop-ups, surveys, day-to-day conversations, as well as what we see when we are out and about in your area.

A bit about Deepdale

Deepdale is home to Preston North End and its iconic Deepdale Stadium. The area benefits from a range of nearby amenities, including Moor Park and Deepdale Retail Park. We manage approximately 674 homes in Deepdale.

Our community information sheets provide useful details about the area, including schools, GP surgeries, community venues and more. View the Deepdale information sheet.

What makes Deepdale a great place to live?

The greenery and improvement work carried out by CGA has made a real difference to the area. The planters in the communal area look great and I would love to take responsibility for looking after one myself in the spring.

We like where we live and really enjoy attending the local Coffee with a Cop sessions, which help bring the community together.

Upcoming projects to improve your community

Communal Bin Store on Golbourne Street
At our Shape your Space event, you told us that easy public access has contributed to fly-tipping at the communal bin store.

We plan to do a community litter pick with CGA colleagues and tenants and will be installing new signage in the area encouraging cleaner communities. We will be doing work around the bin stores to help with any foul odours and improve the look of the area.

Improving Planters

Following feedback at the Shape Your Space event, we have cleared the overgrown communal beds in the Porter Street area. We will work with tenants to plant bulbs and maintain the planters going forward to brighten up the space all year round.

Littering and Dog Fouling

Following reports of litter and dog fouling on Herbert Street, we will be installing a dog foul bin. We also plan to arrange a community clean up day to clear litter, raise awareness of dog fouling and install signs to show that the area is regularly monitored by Community Gateway.

Flowers and Planters to brighten the area

Following feedback at the Shape Your Space event, we will be adding flowers and plants to the communal area at the Rufus Street flats to enhance the space with greenery.

Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour

At our Shape your Space event, you told us that a raised bed with an inbuilt bench is attracting antisocial behaviour, which generates litter, including glass bottles. There is also a high amount of moss on the footpath, making it untidy and slippery.

Our GreenCare team have cleared the moss and plan to plant bushes in the bed. The bushes will act as a deterrent for people sitting on the bed. We will work with our partners to tackle the ASB.
