Gateway Central Blog - March 2025

Hello and welcome to my latest blog following March’s Gateway Central meeting.

We started by discussing the format of Gateway Central meetings. There's so much valuable information to go through, so we’re exploring how we can develop the remit of the Committee to ensure we can make sure everything gets the oversight it needs. This would help us dig deeper into certain topics and work through the agenda more efficiently.

During the meeting, Rob Wakefield, Chief Executive of Community Gateway gave an update on the progress of year one of the Corporate Plan and outlined the priorities for year two. A key focus remains making sure that all tenants have a safe and well-maintained home. There's also a big focus on reaching out to tenants who usually don’t engage with CGA, making sure they have the chance to have their voice heard and shape the services they receive.

We also received the latest Customer Insight Report, which gives us a clearer picture of tenant satisfaction levels and performance. It helps us understand how you feel about your homes and the services you receive and highlights areas where Community Gateway can continue to improve.

Lastly, we discussed how Gateway Central members are now represented on scrutiny panels, but we want to strengthen that even more. We’re especially keen to involve tenants who have direct experience with the different services we provide and scrutinise the service to help make improvements, your insight is incredibly valuable and can help us make our services better for everyone.

If you think you could bring your experiences to help improve our services, we’d love to hear from you call 0800 953 0213 (option 6) or email get.involved@communitygateway.co.uk
