What is sheltered housing?

Community Gateway Association has 13 sheltered schemes in Preston. We are committed to offering a non intrusive service that will assist and support you to live safely, independently and securely in your own home

The properties are allocated by the ‘Select Move’ system and in order to apply you must place a bid

Sheltered housing offers peace of mind as all of our properties are fitted with a 24-hour lifeline system and have Support Officers on site to help you. Sheltered housing offers reassurance for you and your family

Our schemes all have communal facilities where activities take place regularly

 

 

Our Schemes

Our Sheltered Housing homes consist of a mixture of flats, bungalows, and a small number of bedsits.

All our homes are ideally suited for older people who can manage their own homes but have independent support needs.

Each Sheltered Housing scheme is a small community within the local community and our sheltered tenants enjoy the independence of living in their own self contained homes knowing that our Housing Support Officer and Support Line out of hours staff are there to assist them and sustain their independence.

The schemes have communal gardens which are maintained by our Green Care team.
