Opportunities

As a Community Gateway organisation we are always seeking new ways to work in partnership with our tenants, to help make living in a Gateway property the best experience it can be. Your feedback, views, and opinions matter to us and influence how we do things.

Due to the current situation, we have adapted our engagement activities to allow you to still get involved with us; all of our activities can now be accessed from your own home.

Our meetings are now taking place online via Zoom, or alternatively, you can take part via telephone or by post. Never used Zoom before? No worries, use our step by step guide below.

To show our appreciation to all tenants who get involved, we are offering Time Credits for selected activities. You can use Time Credits for free days out with the kids, activities, local offers, and more.

Tenant Facebook Group

Our Facebook Group is used to discuss topics and share information.

We hold regular live Q&A sessions and polls and talk to tenants on a regular basis. Think of it as our virtual meeting room. To join this group you must be a current CGA tenant living in one of our properties. You can join here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/CGAEngagement/

Community Fund Panel

In response to the current crisis we have launched a COVID-19 fund element to our Community Fund – this allows groups to apply for funding up to £500 for projects which directly respond to the current crisis.

Are you passionate about your community? Do you want to help us build strong resilient communities which are great places to live? If so we are looking for tenants to join us on our Community Fund Panel.

The panel meets virtually every quarter as well as deciding resolutions online. Meetings generally take around 1 hour and members get to have a real insight into the activities that are taking place in our communities, whilst having the power to make decisions on where we invest our money.

Volunteer CGA Work Clubs

We are looking for volunteers to support our work clubs in providing professional support and guidance, with a view to securing employment for clients of CGA work clubs.

We know that work clubs improve a client’s chance of finding a job. Their efforts are strengthened by belonging to a group of peers in similar situations where professional support (work club coordinators, job coaches and volunteers) is regularly on hand.
