North West tenants have their say

North West Housing Associations and their tenants welcomed the chance to have their say during a recent visit to Preston by Housing Minister, Alok Sharma MP.

The visit was part of a nationwide programme looking at the way tenants are listened to and their concerns are acted on as part of the Social Housing Green Paper consultation.

The visit included looking at what works and what doesn’t work for tenants, how best to meet local housing needs and how social landlords can help create places people want to live and work with sustainable communities.

Rob Wakefield, Chief Executive of Community Gateway association said " We are very proud to have hosted this event which was attended by over 25 Housing Associations and their involved tenants".
