Housing Day 2020
We are pleased to be taking part in Housing Day and this year the theme is ‘The Importance of Home’.
Housing Day has always been a celebration of social housing and the important role it plays in supporting people’s lives. The event, which is in its eighth year is based on the theme of ‘the importance of home’ in support of the national ‘Homes at the Heart’ campaign which calls for a oncein-a-generation investment in social housing
Never has home been so important to so many people than in this current pandemic. When the entirety of the UK was in lockdown home was where people felt safe and secure.
Teams from across Community Gateway supported our communities: from helping customers receive benefits and food support, assisting community groups to access funding, supporting individuals to job search and training opportunities and much more.
We are so proud of everyone at Community Gateway and our tenants for coming together, especially during the current pandemic - we couldn’t do what we do without you and are proud to make a difference to people’s lives every day!
We recognise that the hard work is far from over and we will continue to work hand in hand with our tenants and communities.
