Gateway in the Community (April 2020 – June 2020)
At Community Gateway we want to showcase the work colleagues do out and about in the community. Our tenants are at the heart of everything we do and our vision is to inspire people and create inspired communities for our customers to live in and enjoy.
Teams from across CGA work together to create opportunities and support people in our communities. This is done through a range of different ways from, supporting individuals to job search and training opportunities, helping customers receive benefits and food support, supporting students at Preston Vocational Centre (PVC) and much more.
However, Covid-19 bought with it many unexpected changes and colleagues were unable to be out and about in the communities like they usually are due to lockdown restrictions.
Teams from across CGA pulled together to support each other from, packing and delivering food parcels, making welfare calls to our vulnerable customers, to setting up a Coronavirus Support Hub.
