How we are a socially responsible organisation
CSR is in our DNA. It's part of our purpose and gives us a sense of pride.
Community Gateway recognises its obligations to act responsibly, ethically and with integrity in its dealings with colleagues, tenants, our local communities and the wider environment.
We actively encourage our staff to recognise their social, ethical and environmental responsibilities in all their work activities to support the reputation of Community Gateway as a socially responsible organisation.

We uphold sound governance practices, are transparent in our operations and activities, adhere to fair and equitable practices and procedures, monitor potential risks and apply mitigating policies. We work collaboratively with other organisations, authorities and agencies, and uphold ethical standards of business practice.
We acknowledge our moral and legal duties to reduce negative impacts on the environment that may arise from our activities. We are committed to taking positive action to encourage and support all employees in minimising the environmental impacts associated with our work. We measure and report on our carbon footprint with overall aim of reducing our greenhouse gas emissions.
As a tenant led organisation we ensure that our customers are actively involved in decisions affecting their homes and communities. We encourage our tenants to become members of CGA and empower them to influence how we manage our business. Our organisation is built upon the Gateway model where our tenants are at the heart of all we do.
We are actively involved in supporting and developing the local community to make a lasting positive impact. Our overall goal is to provide sustainable homes in sustainable communities where people choose to live. We will work with local providers and partners where possible, to support the regeneration and growth of our local area.
We encourage and empower all our colleagues to make a positive difference in their work. We encourage and enable our people to be actively involved in our charity work. We strive to be an employer of choice and continuously develop and improve our people management practices.
