Celebrating 20 Years: Tackling Fly-Tipping and ASB at Dawson and Aughton Walk

Written by Community Gateway | Friday 31 July 2026

To celebrate 20 years of Community Gateway, we are delivering 20 community improvement projects, based off what tenants told us matters most to them.

We recently joined local partners at Dawson and Aughton Walk in the City Centre for an Action Day as part of our ongoing efforts to tackle reports of persistent fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour in the area.

On the day, teams from across Community Gateway and Preston City Council's Street Cleaning Team came together and collected seven bags of litter from the neighbourhood.

We also spoke with tenants who told us what areas of their community they enjoy and what they would like us to help improve.

The day was all about bringing local agencies together to highlight concerns and increase our presence in the area. By sharing your feedback with us, we can work with local partners to take action and create communities that are clean and safe.

If you would like to get involved in any of our community improvement projects and help make your community an even better place to live, please complete the form below and we will be in touch.
