Niamh

I chose to do a Business Admin Apprenticeship because it covers a lotNiamh of different areas including general admin tasks, social media, digital marketing and overall business processes.

It is a really good programme, especially when you are first starting out in the world of work.

This apprenticeship helped me gain confidence and has taught me many new skills, such as graphic design.

I have now gained a full time position at Community Gateway as a Digital Communications & Marketing Assistant.

Clayton

The best bit about being an apprentice waClaytons I was able to learn a trade as well as earn at the same time. This meant I was able to enjoy myself outside of work as I could afford to.

This apprenticeship has given me the skills which I can now have a career from and the qualifications which I can take anywhere.

I am now running my own investment program on kitchen and bathroom upgrades.

Community Gateway is a great place to do your apprenticeship as you have lots of support from management and the team you work with.

Sam

In my opinion, the best thing about being an apprsamentice was the constant opportunity for learning.

I really enjoyed being placed with different people, learning the job and the way things are along with growing as a person at the same time.

The main thing I learnt on the job was the knowledge of carpentry/maintenance along with learning how other trades operate. I found it interesting to learn how your trade can work alongside another trades. I also made a lot of friends and met many new people. My confidence as a person has grown massively, not just in my ability, but overall, too.

My apprenticeship led to me having a really good job and has given me a big advantage for the future being fully qualified as a Multi Skilled Technician (Joinery).

I would highly recommend an apprenticeship at CGA, it has provided me with skills for life and a knowledge for construction along with a really good job at the end of it.
