Rent timing
Rent must be paid in advance, to avoid getting into arrears. Rent should be paid by Friday, to make sure the payment clears the next week.
Tenants who want to pay every two weeks or monthly can set up an arrangement with the CGA's Rent Recovery Team. (Rent must still be paid in advance.) To set up an arrangement, e-mail the
Rent Recovery Team
or call Freephone
0800 953 0213
.
CGA sends a rent statement to every tenant at least four times each year. This allows tenants to keep a record of all payments to their rent account. You can request a rent statement at any time by contacting a member of our
Rent Recovery Team
.
Rent-free weeks
Each year, there are four weeks when the CGA does not collect rent. These are known as rent-free weeks. The timing of these weeks may vary, CGA will make sure that tenants are given advance notice of the dates.
Where a tenant's rent account is showing arrears, they must make payments as normal during rent-free weeks. This will help to clear the balance.
CGA is always happy to answer any queries about rent - e-mail the
