Rent Timings

When is my rent due?

Your rent is charged every Monday, and you must pay your rent by the Friday of each week.

If you get paid fortnightly, 4 weekly or monthly and you want to pay your rent when you get paid, it is important you pay in advance to prevent rent arrears.  If you would find it difficult to pay your rent in advance, it is essential you contact our Rent Recovery Team on 0800 953 0213 or on 01772 268000 to discuss your options.

It is important that you pay your rent on time so that we can pay for repairs, improvements and other services to your home. If you do not pay your rent when it is due you will get into arrears.  CGA take rent arrears very seriously, and will take action if you fall behind with your rent.  This could result in you losing your home.

We will send you a rent statement four times each year.  This will allow you to track all payments you make to your rent account.  If you would like a rent statement in between these times, you can request one at any time by contacting the Rent Recovery Team on 0800 953 0213 or on 01772 268000.

If you are struggling to pay your rent, you may be entitled to Housing Benefit or Housing Element (if you are claiming Universal Credit), however you are responsible to ensure all your rent is paid whether you claim Housing Benefit/Housing Element or pay all your rent yourself.
