Community Gateway Association is keen to support local community groups in area’s of Preston that have Gateway properties within them.

In order to obtain financial support from Community Gateway Association we have a ‘Support to Community Groups’ Policy which must be adhered to by local community groups. Groups must also have their own constitution and a bank account.

Staff support is available to groups regardless of whether they have a constitution and/or a bank account. The Community Empowerment Team can assist by giving advice and support to any group of residents wishing to improve the area in which they live or wishing to provide activities in their local communities.

Community groups we currently support have been involved with lots of activities such as youth groups, environmental projects, groups for older people, healthy eating projects, gardening clubs to name a few.
