Annual General Meeting
We are holding our twelfth Annual General Meeting (AGM) and would welcome our members and stakeholders.
We will be meeting on 21st September 2017 at the Guild Hall, Lancaster Road, Preston.
Doors will open at 4.30 pm when staff, from all areas of the business, will be on hand to talk you through some of CGA’s key achievements over the last 12 months as well as giving you a real insight into our ambitions for the year ahead.
Food will be served at 5:00 pm
The AGM will begin at 6.00 pm and end at 7.30 pm.
The AGM, as ever, will be split into 3 sections:
CGA’s Formal AGM
Directors’ Question Time – if you have a question you would like to ask CGA’s Executive Leadership Team on the night, please send us an email.
(Any question not asked on the night, will receive a written response within 15 working days of the AGM.)
Community Star Awards – a chance to celebrate and recognise the work of our local heroes.
Full Members of the Association, during the formal section of the AGM, will be asked to vote to approve a number of resolutions, for example, approving the minutes of the previous AGM, the re-appointment of CGA Board member, David Mawson and the appointment of Allan Ramsay
All CGA households should already have received a copy of the 2016/17 Annual Report. A digital copy is available to view here and additional copies are available on request.
Associate Members, although unable to vote in the formal business of the AGM, will have the opportunity, alongside Full Members, to find out how CGA has performed during 2016/17 and what our priorities will be for the year ahead.
Everyone will get the opportunity to meet and chat to staff, Board and Committee members.
In addition, during the course of the evening we will raffle three prizes, each to the value of £50.
If you would like to come, please let Sonya Roberts, Governance officer, know by either calling her direct on 01772 268081 or emailing her via email@example.com. We will need to know if you are coming by Tuesday 19th September 2017.
If you require help getting to the Guild Hall, please contact our community empowerment team and we will do what we can to assist.
If you are a Full Member but unable to attend, you can still participate in the AGM by completing a proxy voting slip and returning it to The Company Secretary, Community Gateway Association, Freepost RTSY-EKRT-ASKR, Harbour House, Port Way, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, PR2 2DW by 19th September 2017.
If you have any questions about, or require hard copies of, any of the documents mentioned please contact Governance, as detailed above.
We look forward to seeing you there.
