Welcome to our Equality and Diversity Strategy, which along with our Action Plan
sets out our approach to promoting equality and diversity across a range of activities.

Our strategy provides an opportunity to show everyone how we address the inequality, disadvantage and discrimination that some of our employees and customers may face during their daily lives.

We believe that an inclusive approach benefits all and enables everyone to contribute to our community.

Our Equality and Diversity Statement sets out our definition of what this means to the Community Gateway Association (CGA).

We are committed to providing an environment for communities where respect is shown to all and where everyone is valued and able to achieve their full potential.

A guiding principle in CGAs approach to Equality and Diversity issues is that we, as
an organisation, must be proactive. It is about CGA understanding the issues facing
minorities in Preston from their perspective.

Our action plans are geared towards developing this approach as a priority.
This strategy sets out clear strategic objectives and detailed action plans to achieve them.

Both the Board and Diversity Group will closely and regularly monitor progress in implementing these actions. However, everyone in CGA has clear responsibilities for promoting Equality and Diversity and the achievement of our Equality and Diversity objectives will be an important measure of CGAs success.
